These two were really popular when I was a child - a pair of singer/songwriters that made songs about every feeling on earth in order to explain them to kids. And this, I found later. It’s a song about Dracula, having lost his teeth. This is the translation I made, for everyone who is interested in more than the great singing.
NARRATOR: The blue-white rays of the full moon
Shed light on walls and floors
Everyone in town has fallen asleep
When the sound of cathedral bells mark 12 PM
Then the phone starts ringing a long signal, and a short
PUTTE: ”Dentist institute, nurse Putte speaking. Can I help you with something?”
…
PUTTE: ”Hello?”
DRACULA: ”Yes, yes hello. It’s count Dracula.”
PUTTE: ”Ah, hello, what concerns do you have?”
DRACULA: ”I’ve lost my teeth.”
PUTTE: ”You’ve lost your teeth, again? Have you searched everywhere – you know that you have to search everywhere, in the coffin and – ”
DRACULA: ”Yes. I can’t find them anywhere, though I’ve searched since 7 PM. Among coffins and spider webs, I’m going mad, sob and boohoo.”
PUTTE: ”But have you really searched hard everywhere? Have you checked the toolshed? You know what – I’ll come over and help you to search. See you!”
PUTTE: ”Don’t cry Dracula – have you searched everywhere? Farthest in with spiders and rats?”
DRACULA: ”Spiders and rats.”
PUTTE: ”No, don’t cry Dracula – you have to keep a cool head. Search among spiders and rats.”
DRACULA: ”Spiders and rats?”
DRACULA: ”I can’t find them though I’ve searched since 7 PM, among coffins and spider webs – I’m going mad, sob and boohoo. I have to bite necks, yes, but without teeth it doesn’t go well.”
PUTTE: ”I’ve found them!”
DRACULA: ”Are you serious?”
PUTTE: ”Yeah, sure!”
DRACULA: ”Where were they?”
PUTTE: ”Come over here and see!”
DRACULA: ”I’ll just put my coat on and I’ll come.”
PUTTE: ”Don’t cry Dracula”
DRACULA:”I couldn’t find them anywhere…”
PUTTE:”They are in a glass of blood”
DRACULA: ”Even though I’ve searched since 7 PM”
PUTTE: ”Farthest in with spiders and rats”
DRACULA: ”Spiders and rats”
PUTTE: ”No, don’t cry Dracula
DRACULA: ”I will soon bite again”
PUTTE: ”They are in a glass of blood, farthest in among spiders and rats, yes farthest in with spiders and rats.”
DRACULA: ”With spiders and rats?”
BOTH: ”In your own, in your own – toooolsheeed!”
