Bleach (manga) is so goated from an intellectual standpoint. I feel something new every time I reread. We have all been Ichigo at some point, with our backs against the wall and scared of ourselves, wanting to protect the people we love but scared of hurting them too, we have all been Rukia punishing ourselves for things that were never really our fault and letting the past drag us down, we've all been Orihime not understanding the power we truly have to shape our fate and those around us, or being perceived as weak because we only want to do good in this world and the next, we have all been Chad fighting to carry on a legacy of a lesson we learned too late to honor the person that instilled that value in us, we have all been Renji trying to break class barriers and be strong enough to do the seemingly insurmountable even when no one believes in you and everyone is against you, we have all been Byakuya breaking our rules for the one we love and living with our decision to never break those rules again even when we know we should, some of us have even been Aizen becoming jaded by our loneliness and being misunderstood, feeling like we are without equal because everyone is too content to live in a manufactured reality and wanting to change the system because we know it's a lie that exploits everyone and everything.
