"one kiss equals broth, I have to play to the love act, he doesn't love me why did he think of this stupid act, haymitch I want to kill you"

meanwhile peeta should be like

"man, my crush is nursing me back to health, thats so nice, and we have soup! yayy i wont die right away, she looks pretty"

I know it would be way more in depth than that, but I do want to know what was going on in his head during those games and when he realized katniss didn't love him in the first book

y'all persuasion in dnd (and bg3) isn't always just about CHANGING someone's mind entirely from something they'd NEVER consider, it's your conviction in what you're saying, the weight in what you're saying, and how you are construed to the person you're talking to. it's helping convince someone who has a good opinion of you when theyre not against what you're saying, but there is something preventing them from going along with it in the first instance. straight from dnd phb it specifically says it's based on good nature, good faith. soooo saying that all of the character arcs in bg3 are moot if you use persuasion is stupid, misses the point, and also ignores that this is a gameplay mechanic very specifically written into the game

#in dnd its there to allow you as a player to roleplay someone who might be more wellspoken than you #like i know not all bg3 players have a dnd background but like. yeah #it shouldnt be read as “convincing someone to do something they DONT want to do”#and instead is about thr nuances in our humanity #and interactions #bg3
