That thing when you're doing mid-term report cards and the grades in one category just don't seem right, so you look into your grade book and realize that there must have been a computer/internet glitch when you graded all the written answer and almost none of them saved, so you spent your Saturday afternoon watching curling and grading 3rd grade short constructed responses from the last 4 weeks... đŹ
I can't do it, not today. Today is not the day for this, and I won't bow to it. I will sit in my comfy clothes and cry at happy songs and wish for green skies for a day like this to float by slowly and without it in the future, without it coming up from behind. I will wait for it tomorrow, and it will be hard. Work and effort and trust must all be given takened and worn through like socks and gloves and shoes. I have to do it. But goddammit not today.
So tonight I lay myself to sleep, without green skies or happy tears but comfy clothes and blankets and warmth, I lay myself down and wait for it to come to me in dreams so I wake up with a start and a fire under me to do it. I will do it tomorrow because tomorrow is the day for it. Blue skies and work clothes and a tiredness that eats you from the inside slowly all day. Tomorrow I will do it.
