so Anceline is under the provisional auspices of Jaidz, an azata demigod who is basically a goth Tony the Tiger who empowers the untested. He replaced her familiar, which was probably going to be a songbird if it had ever showed up, with a weird cat that spies on her to see if she’s Good enough to join the Cult of the Fearless Claw.
Jaidz should by all rights already know exactly how Good Anceline is, but none of Anceline’s prayers (which are tentative, her being a wizard (and an irreligious one at that)) have received an explanation for this inconsistency
