I notice a lot of people say that things like racism, public health, equality, etc. shouldn't be political issues. As if everyone should agree certain issues shouldn't be partisan or political. But when you demand that government solves racism, or cures covid, you make it a political issue. If you don't want society to divide into political tribes for every societal issue, then take responsibility and do something about it yourself. It's unlikely government will help any of these issues and it guarantees partisan bickering.
Using speech and direct action (not indirect action by voting) is far more effective and more moral than using state violence to achieve your goals.
Politics is toxic. So if you hate every issue being politicized, stop participating in it and demanding that government solve our problems.

Why is self-ownership such a radical view? I think most people feel like they own their own mind and body, but when that is applied to all aspects of life, they lack the consistency to reach the logical conclusions that rulers/states/governors are antithetical to self-ownership.

What happened at the sAcReD tEmPlE oF our DeMoCrAcY is not simply the result of Trumpism, or Biden supposedly stealing the election, or the democratic process, or media, or education. Much of it has to do with generations of people living under the control of a violent institution. And this violent institution has been given more and more power, time and time again.
During the past year, this institution forced people to shut down their businesses, stay inside, miss opportunities to say goodbye to dying loved ones, mask their faces, fear their fellow humans.
Eventually, it gets to a point when the responsibility shoved off onto politicians and bureaucrats bites you in the ass because you lose what little control over your life you once had. People are bound to snap. We saw the same snapping during the summer riots.
Time to take personal responsibility back and evolve away from political authority (how far you take it is up to you.) It's not worth it anymore. It's a cancer to humanity. And literally everyone holds the cure ...
