"A heavy progressive or graduated income tax." What does this mean? Most people should know what a graduated income tax is, however, I'll explain here. A graduated income tax is when you are taxed (have to pay a sum to the government) based on how much you make, if you make little, you pay less percent of your income, if you make more, you pay more percent. How would this work/ be implemented? only around 20 modern countries have a flat tax as compared to a graduated income tax, so it is already incredibly feasible to guarantee a progressive income tax even without significant reforms. What a heavy progressive tax could accomplish has been written about by many economists and policy makers, however, debate comes up for how exactly a heavier rich tax should be implemented- with debates over taxing wealth or capital income. In the western world, I hope to see higher rich taxes implemented, especially considering that "trickle down economics" has been thoroughly disproven.

"Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes." to begin with, what does "property in land" mean? This likely refers to real estate, or land owned by someone. Essentially meaning no one person will own a farm, apartment building, etc. Instead, it would be owned by the state or the collective (how exactly the State is organized I will be looking more into later). "Application of all rents of land to public purposes" would mean that paying rent or taxes on land would never fund a landlord, it would be money funneled into social welfare programs/ the State. How would this be achieved? according to the public housing wikipedia article, many both capitalist and socialist or socialist-leaning states have implemented socialized and public housing. This looks like enshrining the right to housing within the constitution and continually funding the building of public housing buildings. Socializing housing in order to ensure everyone has a roof over their head could be one aspect of abolishing property in land housing is not the only land people own, however. This would also mean farms, banks, factories etc. Each of them requiring a different plan. Socialized farming has been implemented in China and has seemingly been successful. HOWEVER, notoriously collectivization of farms in communist countries has not gone well, the failures of these initiatives seem to be rooted in natural disaster and lack of transparency of the government/lack of peoples participation in government. What's important to look out for is making sure that these farmers and workers have a direct impact on their government and the policies that are implemented. It's also possible to implement further checks to ensure that quotas are being met instead of forged. As for acheiving rent towards the government, this is significantly easier to understand. Landlords can't own housing or land anymore, instead taxes just go directly to the government. Same system that's applied to purchasing goods but on land. Removing the power of landlords, however, is more difficult. Depending on the nation, there may have to be violence to remove landlords from their position of power, or pushing to add right to housing to the constituion, etc.
