A character had to kinda "let go" of another character they were close with to let them grow

Or remind them of how integral they are to the huge event to help them feel fulfilled and save(slay) the day

An was advised by Akito in An1 to "let Kohane g(r)o(w)" into her own person with her own singing talent independently, because An attached herself super strongly to Kohane at first sight

Rui had been begging Nene(lmao) to do a show together with a similar clinginess I guess

And now he is letting Nene grow and reminding herself of her self-sufficiency and talent(of course with wxs's strong support behind her)

Heck even the song names for both these events are similar(forward for An1, go forth for Nene6)
