Personally I kinda hate seeing people fetishize fat people having to use CPAP -_- even if most of my own weight gain is bc of getting fatter on purpose which may have affected my condition I still dislike the fetishizing as someone w severe sleep apnea (and health anxiety) :(
To me CPAP is just a medical machine to help me keep my airways open during sleep so I don't die (or get brain damage from lack of oxygen) and wearing the mask isn't sexy or cute at all. It's quite irritating actually and takes so much time to get used to at least for me (which is why i don't even use one atm, i haven't had a cpap machine in 18 months now bc it always took ages to be able to fall asleep w the mask on but planning to try again this autumn and force myself to get used to the suffocating air flow and everything i hated abt it.)
