"Good Morning, Ms. Chase!" The little redheaded girl runs into the classroom with a big navy blue backpack and a lunch pail. There's a red fox on the lunch bag and a silver fox on the backpack.
"Morning, Sweetie," the tall, sandy-blonde woman greets her warmly. "You like foxes, don't you?"
The first-grader looks at her with a puzzled expression for a short second. She quickly catches on, "no, it's my mommy who likes foxes, so she gets me stuff with foxes on them."
She unzips her jacket to show her the design on her t-shirt. "But Daddy likes aliens."
Mulder loves teasing his daughter. He finds that to be nearly the most endearing and amusing thing in the world, only second to flirting with Scully.
He's sitting on the porch swing with the little girl. "Wanna learn a song, baby?" He asks and she nods. "Alright, try to follow along."
"Cricket, cricket, bo-bricket / Banana-fana fo-fricket / Fee-fi-mo-mericket / cricket!"
The little girl's face redden with embarrassment. "Shall I sing that when I go pick you up from school tomorrow?"
"No!" the child laughs gleefully. "Do Mommy."
"Sure. Dana, Dana, bo-bana / Banana-fana fo-fana / Fee-fi-mo-mana / Dana!"
"And Bullfrog!"
"You try it."
"Okay, William, William, bo-billion / Banana-fana for-filliam / Fee-fi-mo-million / William!"
"Wow, your brother's rich." The father and daughter howl in laughter. "Can you do me?"
The little redhead tilts her head and thinks for a second before singing: "Mulder, Mulder, bo-bolder / Banana-fana fo-folder / Fee-fi-mo-molder / Mulder!"
He gathers her in his arm. My favorite pastime.
Watching TV together was amusing at first.

With his eidetic memory, he relentlessly points out things that the script supervisors had missed.
"The food is different," he'd say absentmindedly, or, he'd call out continuity mistakes: "Her birth year is wrong. She said she was born when Carter was elected, that's 1976."
She is no better. She rants about medical inaccuracies, loaded with scientific facts. "He's wearing his stethoscopes backwards!" She'd sneers at the TV, or "You can't wear jewelry in the operating room!"
And their favorites: "Those aren't crop circles!"

It's about 4am. The air is really nice, my room is cold, and it feels fresh. Outside the grass is wet and I can hear the birds chirping. It smells like rain and cold morning air. Outside my open window I can see white blooming flowers rinsed with rain droplets, growing on a bush on top of a fence, and gray morning sky. The cool wet air after the rain at night feels good on my skin. It's a very nice morning.
