I was reading The Count Of Monte Cristo yesterday, on my way back to Balasan (which is next to the town I’m currently staying) from Roxas City, and I was chuckling to myself when I was in this part.
Like damn, Fernand was out there trailing Mercedes, trying to exhaust her, so that she would “choose” him. He was planting seeds of doubt on her about him.
But I absolutely love her response, and reading this kinda reminds me of reading a script for a play.

That’s understandable! Grocery shopping is one of the exceptions to the stay-at-home rule! But please don’t take it as an excuse to hang out, and be sure to wear a mask while you are there!

Again, it is understandable if you need to leave your home to go grocery shopping. Please remember, though, that grocery store employees may not have the same choice you do, and you ought to do everything you can to limit their exposure, so wear a mask, cut back on the number of times you go, and don’t take a group with you! Also, please be patient and kind!

That’s fair; after all, getting groceries delivered is not an option for everyone. However, you still ought to limit the amount of time you spend there, and to always wear a mask and keep a safe distance away from employees and other shoppers!

Do go to the supermarket if you need to, solo if possible, but DON’T forget to wear a mask and DON’T treat it like a social outing!

Try to do enough shopping in each trip to last you for several days. Frivolous trips to the grocery store are not helpful during a pandemic. Stay at home as much as possible to reduce the spread of the disease!
