Hi there! I'm Bri (she/her), and I am new to studyblr :)

I've wanted to do this blog for a while and I finally dared! (≧▽≦), main reason is to motivate myself to improve academically. I used to be an A student before the pandemic but I kind of lost my way, so I'm trying to recover from that.

A little about me: I'm a Venezuelan girl living in Mexico and probably moving to Europe soon. Scorpio, extrovert, and very very dreamy. I'm not a big fan of online school, but I do like to study on my own. I'm currently in high school, enjoy language learning, and like both science and art.

Interests:

Reading, drawing & writing. (I actually have a kind-of-writeblr, @twentythreesuns, which is my main).

Journaling and bullet journaling.

Fantasy, mystery, paranormal and historical fiction.

I'm currently learning Portuguese and Korean. I speak Spanish and English.

In the near future I would like to learn French, Italian and German.

Studio Ghibli & Tim Burton fan.

Space fan, too. I'm actually 99.99% stardust.

My study goals:

A fun fact: a few months ago, on my birthday, I started project on which I based my main goal for 2022, and basically consisted of getting to know myself better. In the academic part it would mean experimenting with the methods, techniques, or routines that work best for me, so that's my main focus. I'd like to use this blog to track that, along with the following goals:

Be more consistent with my study habits.

Organize the time I use to study on my own better.

Be a little more responsible with online classes. Romanticize them, if possible.

Work to feel satisfied with my academic life.

I will mostly be reblogging content, but sometimes I'll also be posting my own: study pics, my plans for the day, lang stuff, journal entries or study updates, etc.

Hi! I decided to start a studyblr. My name is Abigail, I’m (almost) eighteen, and I’m a high school senior in the upper midwest. I started this blog because I want to motivate myself to strive further in my studies.

A bit about myself ~

- I am the eldest of five children.

- You know that internet saying that kids who are considered advanced in elementary school and read dozens of books per month grow up to be depressed? Well,

- I love listening to music as I study. Typically, I listen to contemporary classical music (and you can listen along on my spotify! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0oTP0C2urmez8ABfWw0S9f).

Now a few academic things ~

- My passion is social studies, particularly history and sociology.

- In June 2019, I won 1st place at the National History Day national competition. I hope to continue this personal legacy of passion for history and academic diligence.

- My hope is to be admitted into Georgetown University. I plan on majoring in sociology and minoring in history.

Goals ~

- I made this studyblr to help me focus this year on getting that GPA up as much as possible! I also would like to raise my ACT score by 2 or more points.

- I have a lot on my plate this year. Using a studyblr and challenging myself to think critically and strategically about my schoolwork will certainly help me to stay focused.

Classes this semester ~

- World History Teaching Assistant/National History Day Intern (I help world history students with their required History Day projects and help the teacher with various assignments such as grading)

- Wartime Narratives (A research intensive course focused on a WWI or WWII veteran, and telling the personal narratives of such soldiers)

- 1301 CIS University Writing (A college-in-the-schools writing course)

- Algebra 3

- Sports & Games

- Economics (Both micro- and macro-economics)

- AP United States Government and Politics

- Senior Seminar (A language arts and humanities course focused on ‘the human experience’)
