How did Mercutio lose his arm?
He lost it defending Altmer refugees from the Thalmor on the Night Of Green Fire. His whole family are actually Thalmor, so he ended up joining the legion against them after escaping Summerset.
His arm was completely burnt off from the shoulder down, so he literally has an artificial socket in place of the actual shoulder, if that makes sense.
His arm was replaced w a rune-engraved prosthetic so he can still use magic and etc.
