When it comes to beauty success stories, it doesn’t get better than the path Drs. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields. In case you didn’t know, they created Proactiv (which is always my first recommendation when someone asks me what they should use to treat acne). After seeing more and more magazine articles and blog posts about needling, I was intrigued. There’s no bleeding, but these tiny “injuries” not only stimulate your skin’s healing response (which produces more collagen), they also help skincare products penetrate deeper. It’s been about a week and I can say is HOLY COW. My skin looks better than it has in a long, long time—which actually made my 38th birthday a lot easier to deal with. Each night after I wash my face, I use the roller over my forehead and cheeks in 3 or so directions on each area. It doesn’t hurt at all, but it makes me sneeze. Every time—which is somewhat funny.
