my sister went all around Europe last month and I'm listening to her tell my mum that Denmark is regarded as the happiest place on earth. People there are happier with their lives than anywhere else and it's probably because wealth is distributed fairly evenly. There isn't a large gap between the wealthy and the poor. My mum responded with "that must be because everyone works and nobody is lazy" and then my sister goes "ah, no, it's because they've got a welfare system that cares about people and there is less general greed"
