Idk why youtube recommended this to me. Revisiting her handled musical path of stolen artistry and visions is stress-inducing. J.Lo using backing vocals of others and having her voice layered on top was never a secret and obvious on a number of tracks. 

I remember when Christina Milan was on TRL premiering “AM to PM,” she stated she was deciding if she wanted to put that song or “Play” on her debut album. J.Lo’s people heard “Play,” loved it, and just had her rerecord the verses and layer atop. In the end Christina got the coins for that record (depending on her publishing deal) since she wrote it.

I always wondered if other singers, especially the unknown ones, who were used on J.Lo’s records were properly compensated and not hijacked. I think we all know the answer to that...

The way Amerie’s musical sound was snatched from underneath her still pisses me off. And that’s why she don’t know her ass
