A Hungarian AK variant very much similar to the AMD-65. Both use opposite facing direction forward pistol grip, although the 63's are almost all composed of wood furniture where as the 65 could be wood or polymer. The 63 also had a fixed stock versus the side-folding wire stock of the 65. Very few kits were imported into the U.S, making them one of the more collectable AK's out there. (GRH)
