Her backstory is basically she was a young Vintner (wine salesperson) in Fairy (where the fey are from) at a well known distillery of emotionally infused wines, a favourite amongst the fey. One day as she was beginning to familiarize herself with magic and fairy runes she decided to try and distill her own emotion wine. Specifically the feeling of first love that she had for her crush, another young Vintner who she worked alongside. She wanted to keep that feeling in a bottle so that she could feel it again whenever she wished.

However distilling emotions into wines is a tricky talent and she didn't quite know what she was doing. She successfully distilled that emotion, that feeling of love, infatuation, and shortly after being somewhat clumsy, spilled the wine in the moonlit glade she distilled the wine in. It was as the wine soaked into the ground that she had this horrid feeling of loss, only to later discover that she had messed up, rather disastrously and had not only removed that instance of love but rather removed her ability to feel love at all.
