Emily: I know we're not talking about me right now— Sylvan: I didn't want to talk about this, so we can very easily talk about you instead. Emily: We are not talking about me right now… but it was a very difficult situation to be in. I was happy because of the baby. But at the same time, I felt like I was supposed to be sad too, because that's what a decent person is when somebody dies. Gia: That is difficult. You were trying to be happy, sad, supportive, and socially appropriate all at once. Emily: Exactly. Gia: I think beneath all the bickering, there is a pretty good and caring foundation.
