It takes the German a moment to note, but as soon as he mumbles the RED’s name and gets no response, his eyes widen in shock to the odd situation before him. This is almost like some off fantasy… and he doesn’t understand how nor why this happened, so all the German can do is simply stare at the slumbering Sniper and gently pet her head.

The motion is rigid at first, but slowly becomes more and more relaxed as Matthaus comes to realize she will not wake any time soon. So he slowly pushes Ceren off his lap, stands up and returns with military coat to wrap it around them both and sit in the November breeze.

No way is he wasting this moment.
