Green Mealy Parrot Amazona farinosa Ometepe island, Nicaragua Central America 2016 I traveled with Earthwatch to the Amazon in 2001, and fell in love with these parrots in the wild. They are animated and charming. In the morning they would gather by the hundreds on the claylicks with macaws and other birds to eat clay and argue.
