so, AO3 is back up, but with the cloudflare set-up/security check, it will unfortunately mean that some will still have trouble accessing the site or fics, unless they use a different device that’s compatible with it: some devices just don’t let the site/cloudflare check the security connection or don’t even give you the opportunity to verify that you are, in fact, a human.
My fire tablet does not get pass this for ff.net or ao3′s new introduction but my chromebook does. I haven’t tried my ipad yet but previously it passed the test for ff.net. It used to allow access after disconnecting reconnecting to wifi and closing and reopening the browser but for the last few months it’s not worked (clearing cache and using private tab is also not working). It’s not normally a problem as I don’t use ff.net that much (only for a few gems I have found or followed) but AO3 is the main one I use. I know I read on the internet that some had difficulties with other devices too.
It’s workable, but a pain, and at least I can still access the site. Just wanted to let all you guys know in case you need to try a different device (if you have one that is, so if you don’t, I’m sorry).
Also, if anyone has a workaround for fire tablets and getting past the cloudflare, please send me a message on the asks or reply/reblog to this post- I’m sure, as well as myself, there’s others out there who would love a solution to this.
Found my Amazon Fire tablet again, I barely use it, and I don’t have Tumblr downloaded. Went to do so and I can’t find it. Guess it’s going to be me using the actual website…

Okay, so, I have an Amazon Fire Tablet 7. The pen that goes with it has helped the lines get straighter, but if I use the pen side instead of the soft-tip stylus, the lines like to squiggle. Has anyone run into this before?
Tumblr's new update killed it for me to access Tumblr from my Amazon Fire Tablet and iPod Touch.
Thanks @staff now I can only use Tumblr from my phone not my Tablet or iPod. 😒
