Hey #yeg hikers/bikers/runners and walkers! I've just started this project where I go to a bunch of Edmontons nature trails and review them here, on tumblr (username: pinnacleofrefinement) as well as my personal Facebook page. Today was the first day, and I went to Emily Murphy park, the section highlighted in pink on the map. So here's the review: Accessibility: I parked right in the parking lot by the park and it was right next to the start of the trail. I wouldn't recommend strollers past the first 1/2 kilometre, there is snow covering the ice right now and it can be a bit deceiving. Those running or hiking make sure you've got some good tread on your boots and shoes! Difficulty: the second half of this one has a pretty good incline that is much sketchier going down. I'm sure once things start to melt in the spring it will get very messy in there. Tips: maybe wear a backpack that you can store extra layers in, because peeling them off and carrying them is a pain in the butt. Cheers! #alwaysgetbetter #exploreedmonton#naitpft #nature#naturelovers#edmonton (at Emily Murphy Park)
