Hoy en @geocienciachile te contamos sobre los aluviones y conchales costero en el norte de Chile🇨🇱. En el caso de Chile es muy usual que cada cierto tiempo ocurran aluviones en el norte de Chile, gatillados por fuertes eventos de lluvias🌧 asociados con fases del ciclo ENSO (fenómeno El Niño). Este fenómeno se ha documentado desde inicio de lo que se propone como el inicio del ENSO (5000 años), lo que es coincidente con la evidencia encontrada en la costa de Antofagasta durante el Norgripiense (8200- 4200 años), la cual sugiere eventos aluviales entre los 5500-5300 AP (antes de 1950) (Vargas et al., 2006). Muchos de estos eventos que ocurren en la costa han afectado diversos conchales prehistóricos, los cuales se definen como un registro formado por un cumulo de conchas, restos marinos (peces, mariscos) dejado por los humanos a lo largo del tiempo. . . . @geocienciachile we are going to tell you about the coastal alluviums and shells midden in the north of Chile🇨🇱.
