BUSTERS GOLF REPORT. DECEMBER 2016 ALTORREAL
We picked a great day weather wise to play Alto Real , the sun was shining the winds had dropped what more could we ask for , we were warmly greeted by Antonio and his staff , December is usually a low month regarding our turnout and this December proved no exception , with this being the final month for our player of the year competition , for the P O Y competition we take the best six games from all of the games that are played in the year.
Our winner this year was Martin Collins with one hundred and eighty seven points , giving him an average of just over thirty one points per game which is a very good average , he was closely followed by Bill Peters who trailed by five points in second place , and the third spot was taken by Barry Grinsell who was only seven points behind .
Onto our winners for the day , as their was only a small turnout we just had a first and second place , the second place was won by Dave Ryan with thirty three points but Ian Allison was the overall winner with thirty four points both received cash prizes , out of the four par threes at Alto Real only three were hit in one for our N T P competition they were taken by Dave Ryan on the fifth and the tenth with Ian Allison winning the eighth , sleeves of golf balls were given to both players , Ian holed the put on the eighth winning ours twos pot .
Can I take this opportunity to thank Rik , Lisa and the Staff at Quesadas Mini Bar which is located close to the arches in Quesada , for looking after us on our return to the bar for our presentation and providing us with our usual sausage , chips with bread and butter that we followed with a couple of the bars sensibly priced beers .
Busters Golf Society is a small friendly group of like minded people who play on the first Friday of the month , depending on the time of the year we generally have between sixteen and twenty four players , over the four years since we first formed the society some of our original members have moved on , either returned to their country of origin or have ventured to pastures new , so we are looking for a few more members to swell our ranks , if you are interested in joining our society ( its free) then please email me Barry Grinsell at [email protected] quoting your phone number and current handicap and I will get back to you within a couple of days
Finally Busters would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Barry Grinsell
