It's time to reset the Imbolc altar, but I've gotta say this current layout is something I'm really vibing with.

Two active spells: a love spell (this is getting taken down) and my yarn ends of 2023 spell (this is staying).

Offerings: Divine Lather soap for Thor, $2 for general offering, the mermaid girl sticker.

Other: my mermaids runes, which are fully dry and ready for me to start reading.

✨ Business Alchemy: Turn Your Tools into Talismans ✨

Not every spell needs moonlight. Sometimes the magic starts with your morning coffee.

This post is for every witchpreneur who’s ever reached for a pen and felt the spark of creation—or clutched a crystal during a tough client call.

Creating talismans from your workspace tools is simple and powerful. Start with something you already use—your planner, your quartz, a mug, or even your favorite pen. Cleanse it with smoke, salt, or simply your intention. Then charge it with a goal: focus, courage, abundance, whatever your business needs right now.

✨ Quartz - the clarity amplifier. Place near your tech to banish fog and boost focus. 🗝️ A key - literal or symbolic. Great for unlocking new opportunities and revenue streams. 📿 Amethyst or Black Tourmaline - protects your energy while warding off burnout and tech demons. 🎴 Tarot: The Magician or Queen of Pentacles - channel these archetypes as reminders that you already have the tools—use them with purpose.

Place these items on your altar, at your desk, or carry one with you. Before important meetings or creative work, touch the item and repeat your intention. Magic meets the mundane—and your business becomes the spell.

The careful maintenance of areas used for interacting with nature and the energies of the natural world, is equally important as to what offerings are made to the Gods and Goddesses of the forest and the earth. Maintaining these areas such as Nemetons, Moon Gardens, and Wind Gardens, is vital to not only the physical health of the area and the inhabitants, including you, but to also help the flow of natural energies and vibrations.

Firstly debris is moved to maintain a clean ritual area, free from ticks and other dangerous insects(wildlife). The debris is not to be removed from the area, but to be separated into piles and left to mulch, this mulch will be used in later seasons to decorate the grove. Pathways are to be cleared of debris as well, and if desired natural oils such as mint may be used to further deter pests.

The altar, and altar area, are to be kept tidy and decoration kept minimal as this area's energy will change with each ritual. The Nemeton itself, or the center of your personal grove, is to be decorated with ornaments created from natural materials, preferably from items found within the grove or crafted from local materials. This decor should welcome and honour the spirits of the grove, as well as any spirits or deities one wishes to invoke commonly; tree dresses and effigies are encouraged additions to decor as they convey respect.

Certain ritual items, specifically those of the grove, are to be kept within the grove close to the Nemeton to maintain energetic balance. These items may include natural incense, beeswax candles, small idols or stones, and twine or cord for binding/unbinding ceremonies.

Though there’s nothing better than standing on the beach and taking in the ocean in person, consider instead:

Sea and beached themed terrarium bubbles!

Fill it with things you’ve gathered from the beach, or procured otherwise, to always have a piece of the sea with you on your altar, at work, or wherever else you may want it!

Items to fill it with:

Sand

Sea glass

Seashells

Dried Starfish

Coral (be careful collecting corals, in my neck of the woods, they have laws against doing so, so i’m sure there are other places out there like mine!)

Herbs/flowers/etc. with water correspondences (jasmine,seaweed, angelica, lotus, etc.)

Plastic aquarium plants and decorations -- okay, so maybe not the most elegant addition to my list, but they can be pretty, and cheap, too

Mermaid imagery

Mirrors

Really, anything you associate with the ocean.

Although this post is directed at water witches, you can always adapt it to your practice, otherwise! 

(And, as always, be sure to research whatever herbs you may be using -- especially if you have pets! Since many bubble terrariums are open faced, it’s always better to know if anything is toxic to you or your furry friends.)
