Oh this is a Leo song.
I feel like Donnie would swing more towards indifference rather than hatred at the end of a bad relationship.
When I hear ‘he’d bend awkwardly to suit my mood’ that doesn’t feel like Donnie to me. Perhaps in the beginning of the relationship, but that relationship wouldn’t last long. He’s the type to require an equal push and pull. Also ‘he lacked the words to let me know’? Mr. Always Has The Last Word? No, I personally don’t see a lot of Donnie in this song.

Perhaps he is able to temper it more than Raph but he is a man of passion. I don’t think he could be indifferent if he tried.
He is a man of action. I wouldn’t say he struggles with words, but they are not his go to. And above all, he not only has the world on his shoulders but he also subconsciously seeks out more to add to the weight. I can 100% see him silently bearing the burdens of this relationship until he snaps. ‘I’ve pushed this man as far as he could go’.
