Escaflowne Week - Machines/The Moon It seemed appropriate for the meaning of The Moon and tied in nicely with machines to do an Alseides cloaked.

Escaflowne NewType Novels, Vol 1 (2/2)
BURN! This is what I’ve been doing this week. Took a short break from writing Dragon in the Ruins to draw my fave war machine, the Alseides!!! Nothing quite compares and yes, while the Oreades has TWO flamethrowers, there’s still something to be said for the classics. Also, dammit, Dilandau had fun in this little toy! Hope you all like! This is my first attempt at a mech of any sort.

I was trying to find out the correct plural form of ‘Alseides’, but as expected, it is already plural. Namely, a plural of Greek “Alseid”, a forest nymph from Greek mythology. Japanese has no plural declension of nouns, so they have no such problems in the series. And the plural form is up to the fans, I guess.
