Escaflowne X Pokemon Crossover Fanart!
I just watched The Vision of Escaflowne in full for the first time this year (in the past, I only caught bits and pieces back when On Demand was a thing), and I loved the characters in it so much that I had to give them some Pokemon!
Van and Folken - Since they are half Draconian, I think Dragon type Pokemon would suit them well, especially gentle-looking dragons like the Dragonite evolution line. Neither of the two brothers are grown up yet here, so I gave them Dratini and Dragonair.
Allen - Honestly, I just love that he has a pet owl, so I gave him more owls! Any excuse to draw more Hoothoots and Noctowls.
Merle, Naria, and Eriya - Three different kinds of Meowth for the three cat girls of the show! Side note: I like how different their ears are from the usual anime cat girl.
Dilandau - Giving him fire type dogs like Arcanine, its Hisuian variant, and Houndoom was an easy choice since he loves burning things and has a connection to dogs/dogmen.
Hitomi - I gave her two other Pokemon that can see glimpses of the future: Gothitelle and Xatu. Both of them have Pokedex entries suggesting that they sometimes experience distress from the visions they see, so Hitomi would be able to understand their pain in a way most others couldn't, and vice-versa.
Some nice printed merchandise from my personal "The Vision of Escaflowne" collection includes:
2 A4 posters with artwork from the VHS releases of the series.
2 telephone cards depicting Van Fanel and Hitomi Kanzaki.
Sticker sheet with all the series main characters, plus 2 chibi versions of Van and Hitomi.
Double-sided paper announcement regarding the Escaflowne PSX game's dubbing with the original voice cast, and the final release of the VHS series.

Not the usual fare, but I stumbled across a silvery Persian leopard and, well, inspiration hit.
Another of the strong female characters in the 90's anime Vision of Escaflowne, Eriya is a leopard-woman who pilots the Teiring Guymelef for the greedy Zaibach Empire. She's motivated by love for her guardian Folken and her twin sister Nariya. The beast people on Gaea face a lot of persecution and discrimination from humans, which has made Eriya into a rather hostile person.

I think last fanart from Escaflowne anime. I was doing some fanarts since i have been on and off at apartment. Working on commission when at home and drawing fanarts on ipad when on run. Might go back to Trigun again cuz im still rilling in it haha XD Plus i have some other fanarts i wanna draw of friends and maybe practice stuff on ipad. Finally finished my bigger commission but waiting for approval. Going back to work on anything again.
