#alpha magic

So I imagine Remus is vampiric in his urge to hunt. I think he does pose a threat to the animagi because James and Peter are "prey" animals. I think Sirius, being a fellow canine, establishes the alpha position in their "pack." I imagine young Moony and Padfoot fight often, but Moony is generally submissive to his alpha/pack leader. They have some really intense experiences during full moons which have implications for their human lives.

I do not think Remus ever gains control of his mind as a werewolf. He relies on Padfoot to keep him and everyone else safe. Scary thought, isn't it!?!? He can keep his mind with the use of the wolfsbane potion but that isn't while he's at Hogwarts as it isn't invented yet.

I do think they all sleep at points during full moon, the wolf does get tired. But only after intense energy exertion.
