actually, I don't think i have many established headcanons about gender non-conforming remus, But, as a genderqueer girl i really like to think about it you know
so there are few my thoughts ☝️
first of all, i don't really know if it can be called "gender non-conforming" because ?, but i think he has a bit difficult relationship with masculinity. as a kid he was quite sheltered, and wasn't around boys much time, so i fell like despite do not disliking being a boy, he feels like he's doing it not really right, but i think he doesn't really care. i think it may be about many labels, such as agender/non-binary/boyflux/etc remus, choose whatever you like more 🤲
secondly, i think Remus wears skirts sometimes. they are probably below-the-knee skirts, some of them are maybe even longer, probably a dark blue ones or earthy colored OR PLAID, nothing really extravagant, I don't think that he does this quite often. he probably wears them with t-shirts, or mixes them with something typically "manly", like leather jackets/shirts, something like that(just imagined remus with a buzzcut and in long dark skirt and also in sirius' leather jacket) (also i think it would look better in a band!au, please think about remus I've just described but ob stage I BEG YOU)
also! remus who wears MANY different hairpins, some of them stolen from lily or girls, AND IT ALSO LOOKS GOOD IF HE HAS SHORT HAIR. he probably wears a lot at once, half of his head is decorated with star hairpins or like that
i like a thought about him experimenting with his hair in many ways - he'll grow them till shoulders than do a buzzcut and maybe dye them in whatever colour in between of this events. i mean, this is not really tied to a certain gender, but it can be a bit gender non-conforming?....
also i think you mentioned this, but i like him wearing eyeliner. he'd just looked so cool doing it you know, maybe he lets sirius do it for him
can we think about him wearing "feminine" jewellery? like delicate pendants, maybe big earrings?
i feel like i could've write more, but no more thoughts have crossed my mind for now 😔 also i feel like some of them are not really casual things, but i hope you liked that 🙏
