It is official now. Too official. Yesterday âThe World of Japanese Contemporary Culture Programâ has come to an end. Itâs over.
First we had a âpicnicâ with everyone in the dorm (it was too hot to have it on the beach as planned), but in the afternoon we had our closing ceremony. It was very official with handing over the certificates and so on, but then we had to tell a speech one by one⊠well, let me keep the description short. Afternoon closing ceremony, pictures pictures pictures, in the evening we were by bus for the âFarewell Partyâ at Uminonakamchi where we had a nice buffet and once we got back, we watched âMen in tightsâ with everyone together in the common room. Yesterday⊠Yesterday I felt rather distant. While other girls burst out in tears, it did not seem to occur to me that it is really over. I guess I managed to get back to Denial for a moment (Charu keeps on saying it is the best thing to do, so why not try? :P ). Right now, writing this, realizing the first girls are taking their plane today, I cannot hold my tears back anymore.
While I was comforting others yesterday, I did not find any words to say. âIt is going to be okayâ is not appropriate. It is NOT going to be okay. All of us are leaving.. leaving the dorm, a place that gave us the opportunity to be together this year, to knock on each otherâs doors in the middle of the night, talk endlessly, make amazing food together and well⊠be together with amazing people. All of us are leaving and there is no way of coming back, not in the same way. We are leaving our home.
It is not the same as leaving Belgium.. Because I knew when I left there, I would come back in a year. Even if I come back to Fukuoka, not all of my friends will be here anymore. When I visit their countries (cause YES I WILL CHASE YOU GIRLS!) I will meet them.. but it will be temporarily. Anyway. It has been a great year. I believe I have changed, but I donât know yet how. (Let me know when you notice :p ) In WJC I did not just find friends, but a warm loving family, full of wonderful, intelligent, young , independent women with a big heart. I hope everyone finds the strength and possibilities to realize their dreams. I donât think I will be able to experience this extraordinary multicultural mix soon again. Let us talk about âback in the days at FWUâ in a year or 50. May the odds be ever in your favor. #gallery-0-5 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-5 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-5 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-5 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Ps, Sofie shared it before with everyone and well, Vitam C describes it too well:
I keep thinking times will never change Keep on thinking things will always be the same But when we leave this year we wonât be coming back No more hanging out cause weâre on a different track And if you got something that you need to say You better say it right now cause you donât have another day
Ps2: Forgive me for the stream of consciousness! Ps3: Donât want to count but⊠only 12 days leftâŠ

Countdown, baby!
It's 1:11 in the morning and I can't sleep. I'm off in the afternoon to house sit for a friend of mine. Crazy fancy apartment (like crystal chandelier in the foyer fancy) . Feels weird to be leaving Prague in eight days. This Sunday is my going away party and most bartenders I know are showing up, as well as some Prague punx. Should be fun. AND AFTER THAT DUTCH PUNX I'M BACK BABEH.
Official Mission Countdown: 4 days - Leaving on Tuesday
Okay, today was my last Sunday at church. I bore my testimony and did almost 4 prayers xD in every class they asked me to do my "last prayer" :B and I repeated the words "Tuesday" and "Thanks" every 1 minute D: but it was an awesome day, even though my cheeks hurt for smiling too much xD
I talked with the brother of LDS Family Services and he told that I'm okay, and if I have any trouble on my mission I should talk to my President; he also gave me shoes :]. Other brother gave me money (yay xD) but it's all for my mission :B and I received a lot of hugs!!Â
In the afternoon I went to a meeting of the YSA stake committee and my friend *Elder Riquelme* was set apart!! We are going to the MTC the same day (but different MTC) and then I went to a special fireside for endowed people, it was amazing and it was about Obedience :]. A friend gave me his tie (he was wearing it XDDD such a cool man) aaaaand I got home 30 minutes ago.Â
Now I have to pack more things and read and sleep and dksjdhwuisncs (sorry, I'm excited xD)
I'm more than ready!!!!! Tomorrow I'll get on Tumblr for the last time at 5pm (3pm Utah time, I guess)
Bye people, and thank you for everything!!
THANKS FOR READING!
Sigh. One and a half more days untill he's off to a different state again. These 3 weeks have been some of the best of my entire life and I'm so happy we got to spend so much of them together. Well at least I'm spending all day with him tomorrow and bringing him to the airport with his mom on Saturday. The distance is only temporary, and honestly...love does overcome all, love's forever. I'm looking forward to his 6 years to be over though haha. I can't wait to be fully me all the time. I'm really excited for all of the things we have yet to experience, we have our whole futures ahead of us. I think it's gonna be easier without him this time. Obviously still hard as hell, but I think it'll be a little easier since I sort of know what to expect, I hope I'm right. Well we'll make it just fine so I guess that's all the matters.
