Lemme tell you guys how this went down because it's kinda crazy. -Tuesday: Pefectly fine, I go to bed feeling normal and with no indication of the incoming hell. -Wednesday: I woke up with a scratchy throat. Throughout the day, in a matter of 12 hours, it progressed into something much worse. By the time I got home from school and work, I could barely stand. My throat hurt so bad I couldn't talk, I was extremely fatigued, I was congested, I was just all around a mess. I did not eat or drink anything because of my throat and a lack of appetite. -Thursday: I am miserable. I cannot get out of bed, I cannot speak, I can hardly breathe, my entire body aches, and the sinus pressure is so bad it feels like my head is going to explode. I have a fever of 102 and a headache- niether of which will go away. I do not eat or drink anything.I spend a good chunk of the day sleeping. -Friday: More of the same. I am able to talk as my throat isn't quite as sore but overall my condition has not improved. The fever is unbroken and the headache rages on. I start trying to eat and drink but I throw everything up. Half of the day was spent sleeping. I can still hardly walk from how fatigued I feel despite sleeping. Muscle aches are still here from day one. -Saturday (today): I am almost entirely back to normal. The fever has broken, the sinus pressure is gone, I am not so fatigued, the headache has gone, my throat doesn't hurt, and I can walk around again. My muscles are still sore, I am still extremely congested and coughing, and my ears are still clogged. Dehydration and hunger have taken a toll. I am quick to eat and extremely thankful I do not throw up. Dehydration is a more serious problem I will be dealing with for a few days as it has gotten pretty bad. What the heck just happened? That was perhaps the quickest yet most intense bought of illness I've been through in a long time.
