Love Languages Tag
For those who do not know, a love language refers to the way in which a person most prefers to express or be shown love by others. There are five main categories: acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, and physical touch. A person can respond to more than one love language (as each is generally felt on a spectrum), but there is usually one which stands out above the rest.

Love languages are most notably used in association with romantic relationships but can be extended to friendships and family relationships. The understanding of one’s love language can lead to building healthier relationships. Understanding your characters love languages can help you to further understand your character’s motivations and their relationships with the characters around them. And so, I’ve created this tag to assist writers in doing just that! Listed below is a template depicting all 5 love languages and a list (though not exhaustive) of examples that can be associated with each language. Feel free to add anything that your own character personally experiences.
Rules: Bold the words/phrases that your character most associates with their love language. Italicize their primary love language if they experience more than one or any you feel are especially important.
