So, CC’s plot revolves around using a time-turner to go back and try to “save” Cedric, but it doesn’t work, and instead, a series of alternate universes are created, as the characters try to disrupt the Tri-Wizard Tournament in various ways, to prevent Cedric from winning alongside Harry. In one of these universes, which we’ll call the Darkest Timeline, Cedric was so humiliated by what happened to him during the tournament, that it led to him becoming a Death Eater. Which ... a lot of people can’t imagine at all, given what we see of Cedric’s character in canon.

yeah but... i’ve been in this fandom ages. i’ve read all that’s to be read. if i don’t lower my standards i’ll never read anything new again. seeing how most older people have left the fandom, it’s ignoring the sharp edges of the new stuff and finding the good points, or leaving as well
