So Cecil is bonded permanently with night Vale or something and he knows this, but doesn't know that if he leaves NV for any reason say, like a vacation, ( I firmly believe that the Europe thing was a hallucination due to some weird NV shit) he gets incredibly sick and and Carlos finds out and hurriedly tries to get him back before he dies or something like that. idek its my first time submitting a prompt don't judge me lol.

"Oh my god, Cecil, you really need to get out of Night Vale for a while," Carlos insisted.
"Carlos, I really donât think thatâs a good idea," replied Cecil.
"No. Itâll be good for you. You need to see how the world works outside of this weird little bubble. We wonât go far, okay? Just to the nearest big city, thatâs only a few hours out."
Twelve hours later, Carlos was driving a pale, unconscious Cecil back to Night Vale.
Maybe not such a great idea after all.
Theyâd gotten about an hour and a half out of town and Cecil had just collapsed at McDonaldâs. After reassuring about twenty nervous people that they really really didnât have to call 911 (âNo, seriously, donât. No - NO! I just have to take him back home - no, trust me, my way is better for himâŚâ), Carlos had gotten Cecil back into the car and started driving as fast as he possibly could back towards Night Vale.
Cecil stirred as they crossed the town boundary.
"Carlos?" he mumbled. "Râwe there yet?"
"No, Cecil. Weâre going home. You scared the hell out of me."
Carlos woke up in his own bed several hours after he was sure he dozed off on a chair in Cecilâs room.
On his bedside table was a note.
Thank you for bringing him home. We can take care of him from here.Â
Try not to hurt him again. Leaving Night Vale is detrimental to his health.
Carlos sighed. Guess that rules out trying again.
