“Darkness is an entity in itself. Most believe it’s merely the absence of light, but they’re quite wrong.” He leans into the side of his chair, resting his chin on the back of his hand.

“It can be comforting sometimes, though, if you don’t fear the unknown. Light... Light can be harsh and bright. Darkness is cool, soft, and enveloping. There are places light doesn’t reach, but there isn’t a single spot the dark can’t go. It’s all-consuming, all-knowing, all-seeing. Like human gods, I suppose.”
