Character: your parent(s)
Media they are from: real life
Evidence: no they definitely dont have adhd and actually all those things you think are “symptoms?” That you glaringly share with said parental figure? Everybody’s like that! And anyway, any symptoms they might have are because of something else actually. Also the fact that they’ve managed this far without “therapy” or “medication” like you wussy kids these days is clear evidence that if you’d just apply yourself you’d be fine. Stop looking at their pile of unopened mail with three abandoned coffee cups balanced precariously on top. Stop it.
sorry but my parents 100% are adhd, diagnosed and medicated and everything :P it's how they recognized mine so young (i was showing symptoms as a damn baby, diagnosed at 5). Can't slander them like this
1, 12, and 15!
1. What's your blog title from?
"Right on, Frankenstein" is a song I used in my playlist for one of my D&D characters, Cash. In the AMV for that campaign, this is the song that plays...
2. dishes or laundry?
Eyes the four loads of laundry I have sitting in the corner of my bedroom...
I dont really mind doing dishes that much, and in recent years I've gotten a lot better at keeping up with them but I hate doing laundry, and its been cold as hell lately and I dont want to walk across to the laundry room over the ice...
I'm REALLY REALLY excited to be moving into a place with both a dishwasher AND a washer and dryer. I havent had an apartment with any of those in it for like 15 years!
3. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
I tend to work with a lot of young people because I work in coffee. So I often tell them that 1) living alone can be really good for you, and if you have the chance to do it you should try it. It was how I learned who I was, and how i broke a lot of bad habits I had gotten into and learned how to rely on myself. and 2) that getting older doesnt make you old, your life isn't over at 25 or 30 or 40 ect, and you can find yourself at any age. and working off of that, 3) you can go at your own pace with life, and it's okay. I didnt go to college until i was 30, and I might go back again for something completely unrelated in 5 years, who knows. Life doesn't wait for you, and it feels so so scary, but there's no age at which it no longer becomes "worth it" to do the things you dream about doing.
