“You look a little lost.” - @alicelyttle
"Holy shit—" was Morty’s initial reaction as he recognized the voice in his head, caught by surprise. Alice was no stranger to his dreams, whether it was his own subconscious putting her there or she wandered in herself. Of course, they both knew by now that she could only do that while they were in the same dimension, which had only been a few random coincidences before. As Alice came into view, Morty could only assume this was just another one of his dreams — he’d already been let down in the past when he thought it really was her, only to be met with disappointment upon waking up. Still, that didn’t mean he didn’t appreciate seeing Alice in his dreams, her familiar beauty stopping Morty in his tracks for a moment.
He wasn’t sure where they were, though a lot of his dreams had been like that recently; the sky above them was an odd shade of yellow, and different colored massive trees surrounded the two of them, both seemingly so small in comparison. There had been no path leading Morty anywhere up until this point, nothing but dirt on the ground below, but seeing Alice just ahead gave him the obvious answer of where he should go now. “I-I was, but I don’t think I am anymore.” His demeanor had even shifted as he smiled at her, the uncertainty that was lingering within him fading away as he got closer to the girl of his dreams. Still assuming this had to be his own imagination, he grabbed Alice’s hands, the feeling of them so real in his own despite his next question. “... I’m dreaming about you again, aren’t I?”
