I still like that at the crux of it when Josephine finds out about Alex's situation with Fires, and his working for Stones to gain info, she isn't upset that he's doing these things, she's upset that he didn't tell her.
Josephine has quite the tolerance for questionable methods - she is.... pragmatic, with her own. But that doesn't extend to being shut out. Knowing he took that risk without telling her would sting.
They overlap heavily with their aims [tho its liberationist vs empancipationist at all ends] but their methods are so different... Josephine thrives [for lack of a better term] on careful planning. Alex thrives on improvisation. To her, his choice to keep it secret feels like playing with fire, whereas to him it might feel like the only way it would work.
