He is a surfer and leader of the surf gang the Sharks. Other surfers, such as Kayla, look up to him as a mentor and family figure. He is known for being happiest when he is on the water. On dry land he is fairly stoic.
Interesting Fact:
When Alec learned how to surf, he met the predecessors of the Sharks. He was introduced to them by Dude, his close friend and classmate (the guy had his own quirks). Alec was in a difficult period in his life then. He felt elevated that he quickly fit among them. Then the Sharks split into their own group because of disagreements between the participants, and Alec left with those who were closer to him. Absolutely by chance, he became the leader and βbig brotherβ. He had no choice but to accept it because there was no one else to replace him.
