Last week I went to Berlin for 5 days with the rest of 1st year graphic design students and few from 2nd year. It was really great trip and I enjoyed it a lot. We visited a lot of places. I really like the contrast between modern architecture and ancient style buildings. The city has got a great history and it’s necessary to know it to understand the meaning of all monuments. It’s also very artistic city with lots of graffitis and art shops. During the trip we visited 2 graphic companies: AKQA and R/GA. Each company have made a presentation for us and it was priceless lesson for us. It was a great experience to see and hear how those companies are working. We learnt what’s the process of making design, what is so important in hiring a designer and very important steps in creating a good design. There’s nothing better than a lesson from professionals and people who are great in what they are doing and they are making awesome designs for huge companies. This trip was also a great opportunity to familiarize with friends from my class. We have spent together a lot of time during the trip and it was fantastic time.
