Ayo Akinola scored three goals and Toronto FC defeated Canada's rival Montreal 4-3 on Thursday night in the MLS Back tournament.
Akinola leads all players in the tournament with five goals.
The teams scored five goals in the opening half of the wild game played without fans at Walt Disney World in ESPN's Wide World of Sports. Saffir Tedder converted two penalty kicks for Impact.
Richie Leryea gave Toronto an early lead with a hard shot to the far post as defending sponsored by Montreal. Laria, a defender, was playing for Justin Morrow, who was ruled out of the game with Akilis tendinitis.
Montreal also drew in the 14th minute, when Rommel Cuito beat defender Omar Gonzalez to one-on-one victory over Toronto goalkeeper Quentin Westburg.
The Reds took the lead on Akinola's goal in the 25th minute. Pablo Payati fed the ball to Alejandro Pozuelo, who crossed it to Akinola for a tap-in goal.
Tader made his first penalty conversion to pull the Impact into a 2-all tie, but shortly after Akinola scored his second goal to put the Reds in front again.
Akinola's third goal came in the 83rd minute. Clement Dope headed towards him but Akinola jumped to avoid the goalkeeper and score. It was the first hat track in the series between the two teams.
Hyder secured his second PK in stoppage time for the final margin.
