So I was just reading a Manhwa (alien sci/fantasy romance) and I was like wow this is so interesting why not world build a alien society with male oppression and themes of shame and guilt around male sexuality.
It started off as a joke... but I don't think it's a joke anymore.
I genuinely just started this off as a cute little project because I wanted to make at least one society where the men where subjugated like how woman are just explore themes of sexuality and kink, and wow.
Now I understand why people love dystopian society so much, It's so fun not gonna lie. Making a dystopian society is a lot easier than making a utopian one that's for sure. Or a Utopia adjacent society because in the current Omegaverse world building that I am doing right now where omega's are not at the bottom of the hierarchy, and they aren't treated like trash, this alien dystopian society is definitely a lot easier to think about, and world build for.
Not only that but it is so easy to take biology, and politicize it, and make one gender out to be biologically inferior. Like it's so easy to do that with men it's actually shocking. All you have to do is take the stuff that men say about women and just flip it back on to them, and it actually holds weight it's genuinely crazy.
Safe to say this exercise has definitely brought out some things in me that have long been buried and I'm low-key into it.
