Name: Ajancingenia yanshini
Name Meaning: Hitchhiker from the Ingen Khoboor depression
First Decribed: 2013
Described By: Easter (no I am not kidding)
Classification: Dinosauria, Saurischia, Eusaurischia, Theropoda, Neotheropoda, Averostra, Tetanurae, Orionides, Avetheropoda, Coelurosauria, Tyrannoraptora, Maniraptoriformes, Maniraptora, Pennaraptora, Oviraptorosauria, Caenagnathoidea, Oviraptoridae, Oviraptorinae
Ajancingenia, originally named Ingenia but the name was already taken up by a nematode, was another more advanced oviraptor from Mongolia, specifically the Khermin Tsav beds of the Barun Goyot Formation. It lived in the Maastrictian age of the Late Cretaceous, about 70 million years ago. It had a very long first toe bone, hence it was given the name hitchhiker.
