AJ lamp from Louis Poulsen, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu). The light contributed to the total design concept of the hotel. Several of the hotel items have achieved design icon status today, and among the lighting products the AJ lamps in particular have become world renowned. Five new colour variants were introduced in connection with the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family. The new colours have been carefully chosen in line with an updated Arne Jacobsen colour scheme. #allgoodthings #danish spotted by missdesignsays.
post number sixteen - black things
I am quite a collector of all things black. Here we have the miniature Panton chair with the human-sized version, both made by Vitra. The AJ Lamp, was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 and made by Louis Poulsen, is my favourite floor lamp. On the cardboard block table are a selection of Dinosaur Designs bowls and an iittala Aalto vase. The wall calendar was designed by Massimo Vignelli and is produced by Nava Design.Â
