Okay so I had this idea for a bit and feel free to add onto it (please add on to it)
we have all of the 16 existing teams however they are all like little clans/groups/guilds
All the players are some sort of creatures or mages, except the captains who fit the name of the team in the form of their spicies
For example: Jenna is a demon - skeletal like, fire from her eyes, newly appointed general of the demon brigade, the captain of Hellhounds is an actual hellhound or can turn into one
obv its a mix between modern world and fantasy so they all do have human forms (Jenna doesn't drink or eat since she technically doesn't need food)
Most of the players are mages that are drawn to a specific element based on the teams - Hellhounds and Riders draw in fire mages (Roshan and Emika are excellent Fire mages, altjough Emika is still learning)
The games are similar to what they are in the books.
Hamilton is a witch that has almost once discovered immortality at which points the Cloud Knights threw her out.
Tremaine is a siren - don't know why, can't recall, maybe I read that on ao3 and though that fits. He was a fish out of water in Riders however finds it right at home with demon brigade - who is rather drawn to dark places and have no issues with water.
Asher by this would be a phoenix. However by my hc for this au and phoenix's life being a never ending cycle Riders had a previous captain who one day dissappeared. By this logic Asher is both a couple of million years old and 6 years old at the same time. He also knows things told to prev captain in secret and claims not to have ever known them.
I cannot place Hideo or Sasuke although Sasuke does feel like a ghost sometime.
Jax is a witch. She has cursed at least three people with very very annoying curses that they can't get rid of or figure out. Hideo was almost fourth.
