their force signature was clear enough to kanan, clearly unmasked in the force, it was obvious they wanted other force users to be aware of their presence. with a breath, he turned in the direction the being, hoping they weren’t looking for a fight. he was out of practice, but moreso, he was only armed with a blaster, his lightsaber still presumably missing somewhere on lothal.

eyebrow raising everso slightly, he crossed his arms, “y’know, if you wanted to ask something.. you could use your words,” he said lightly, eyes directing towards her, “or we can keep going on with this “i pretend you aren’t following me”, thing.” 

rey had been worried remnants of the first order would find themselves in this time as well. she couldn’t help but admit the feeling of peace had been nice, once she was able to get past the new feeling of the force here. but her naivety had perhaps reached to far to hope that she could avoid conflict here. 

the presence she felt now however made her feel as if that was no longer an option.

aware of her lightsaber attached at her hip, rey cautiously continued her way down the dark street, pausing at the person she could only feel growing closer. stopping, she turned, spotting the other ahead. 

there was no doubting this being was from her own time, “you’re a knight of ren. aren’t you.”
