This song represents Mason because of his past, and how he tries to hide it. His family was brutally murdered the day he came back from college, and his brother was badly paralyzed. Mason moved to Beacon with his brother, and hoped to build a life there with him. Mason's brother Jeremy soon got cancer, and passed away. This event killed him. Mason now tries to hide his dark side from the people he loves to protect them, but you can always see the demons he hides if you just look into his eyes. He doesn't usually let people get close to him because he's so afraid that he will hurt them, whether is be emotionally or physically. That's why when he does let people in, he's very careful with them, or tries to be.
