the other day someone referred to me as "chunky for a yoga instructor." I really #aintmadatit but it got my gears turning. people are going to judge each other all day long. comparison and competition are part of human nature-defenses set up by the ego, to self-soothe and excuse. I can't stop anyone from judging me but I can choose to manipulate my reaction to it. I'm not sorry if you think I'm too risquΓ© or too sexy or too #comfortableinmyskin. I'm not sorry if you think I should act a certain way or stop getting tattoos because I'm a 35 year old mom in a long, beautiful, broken relationship. it is not MY place to be sorry for YOUR reaction to my life-in person or in pictures. if you don't like what you see, don't look. if you need to express your opinion to me about how you think I should live, this will be my response to you: I let #youbeyou. you #letmebeme. and after all that, I will Still honor the shit out of you. #namaste π
